Login Lockdown and 127.0.0.1 WordPress.org

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/login-lockdown-and-127-0-0-1/
Hi, There’s a couple of things you should check: – check your blacklist if the IP address is listed – also check the “Locked IP Addresses” and “Permanent Block List” tabs in the dashboard menu to see if the IP address is inside one of those.

Banned IP is 127.0.0.1 WordPress.org

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/banned-ip-is-127-0-0-1/
I have been locked out of my own website because the ‘Limit Login Attempts Reloaded’ plugin logged the attacking address as 127.0.0.1. Can the plugin recognize this(127.0.0.1) as a fake IP? Where is the banned IP stored?I presume that I can remove my IP and I should be able to login again.

Saved the permalinks and generated a new .htaccess file. On reactivating the plugin, it immediately takes me to 127.0.0.1. @wpsolutions, I can go into the tables, and follow your advice. However, I am not the only user affected. One of my customers/clients for our non-profit says when she tries to login, she is getting the same result.

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/11600408/how-to-redirect-localhost-to-127-0-0-18080
I don't think that's possible. When you type "localhost" into the browser, it resolves that to "127.0.0.1", and fills in the default port of 80. If nothing is listening there, it won't connect. It can't resolve "localhost" to "127.0.0.1:8080". If you can't use port 80, you have to specify the port you want. Use a bookmark if it makes it easier ...
